Potty Trained?

Benjamin has been fully potty trained for a couple weeks now ONLY if we are at home and he has no pants on. The second that we put underwear on him he has accidents (he will go sit on the potty with his underwear on) and he has never gone on the toilet. Sometimes he will go to the toilet and lift it up like he needs to go and then run away saying "no no no, nnnooooo" afterwards he will just use his potty. I know that he gets it but sometimes he is just like me and needs to know certain that he can do it. So, my question here is do we now teach him to stand so he will maybe start using the toilet or should we get him potty trained with clothes on? Never thought that I would have to ponder this...

Bowling

We signed Benjamin up for Kids Bowl Free through Crestwood Bowl and they allow you to add a family pack with four more people so why not? So we took Benjamin for the first time last Friday with the Herbst family and he had a blast. He loved everything about it! If it is raining this summer you know where we will be!

so proud he could carry the ball all on his own

watching for a strike

even tried kicking it

School

Benjamin started his first day of school on June 10th and he did as anyone would expect their child to do on their first day of school after being in at home daycare with family...HORRIBLE!!! The first day was horrible for me as I think I cried most of the day and was logged out at 4:58pm to go get him. The second day was worse since he knew what was happening. I tried not to cry in front of him but I broke down and almost couldn't leave him there. Three weeks later, much better! He still hates being dropped off (few fake tears) and he hates when we pick him up because he doesn't want to leave, at least he is having fun!

Here are some pictures from our first day of school. His favorite part is washing his hands, not only does he wash them and dry them but he also wipes out the sink every time.

This was today, all proud caring his book bag to his classroom all on his own

Benjamin's TWO!

My sweet baby turned two on June 7th and we pretty much celebrated it for two weeks straight. Mimi had him open a new gift every day while we were on vacation and then we had a little party at our house with some of my close friends and then on Father's Day we celebrated with my family at my parents house. I am so honored that Benjamin is so loved by so many that it melts my heart.

Benjamin had his 2 yr old check up a couple weeks ago and he is still growing the exact same, just like his daddy. He is in the 98% for height (3'1") and 20% for weight (26.7lbs). He is so skinny, that the 2T shorts fit him, but are a little short...still can't decide if I want me to be a nerd or have sagging pants and he is in 3T shirts. Oh well, he is a little boy and these days he doesn't wear anything as we are potty training.

Danny + Barbara = LOVE

To end our vacation we had a beautiful wedding in Knoxville, TN on June 8th for my cousin Danny and Barbara. It was at Dara's Garden and it was an absolutely gorgeous wedding outside. Benjamin had a blast running around and stretching his legs after a seven hour drive.

Popcorn and movie after the wedding while Daddy did some more driving

Vacation 2014

The first week of this month we went on vacation with Mimi and Papa...it was a blast and Benjamin thinks that they live at the beach house. He still asks about the beach house to this day and associates it with them. We started our trip off with a little detour in Chattanooga with a visit to the Chattanooga Choo Choo and the Tennessee Aquarium

An incline of 72.7%, very steep!

Although it was cloudy, you can see 7 different states from this view: Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Alabama and Georgia

LOVES penguins!

Trying to escape the sharks!

After all of our fun in Tennessee, we made a pit stop for David so he could eat at the Varsity (someplace famous for their hotdogs!) then finished are travels to Pawleys Island, South Carolina.

Benjamin LOVED the beach house since it was so big and he could run around a lot, however he didn't love the beach itself. It was too dirty for him (guess he gets that from his mamma) and the sand was a little weird feeling. It was getting better towards the end of the trip, but hope he gets over that by the next time we go to the beach and at least there was a pool at the house.

Love our little family!

Over all it was a fantastic trip and we are hoping that this might be a yearly thing :)
