Running

I never considered myself a runner, I always said that I was a jogger. I want to be a runner but I think my short legs just can't go that fast. I signed up in a Snowball Series race that was a different distance at a different park for every five races. I did it to stay motivated through the winter (even though winter has finally hit us) but what was the best motivation was David's cousin's wife, Brittney Carlson, signed up with me. What a great support system! We stuck with it and finished all of them except one (which in our defense it was like 5 degrees and we were all afraid of getting sick...you know what happens when mommy gets sick).

This past Saturday was the last race and it was through Kirkwood, which I love so it was a good run despite the wind. I am sad the series is over, however I have already signed up for two more races which one is through Grant's Farm and then some free beer at the end...score!

Brunch with the old Ladies

Another Sunday fun day was had! I am thinking I am starting a new tradition. I like to get everything done on Saturdays so Sundays are family fun time. Yesterday, my sister and I took my mom and grandmas out to brunch and a movie. We then went to my parents and played some cards and games. We topped it off with pizza party for dinner. My sister captured this awesome photo of the old lades! :)

100th Day of School

Today is the 100th day of school and when they sent a flyer home two weeks ago about making a shirt I was like game on! I wanted to do something very creative which is not in my blood and I wanted Benjamin to be proud of it also so why not go to Pinterest. I found the perfect idea and got to work with the help of my sister who can draw. We choose the theme "100 days of school are UP" from the movie UP. This is our final project and I would like to say that Benjamin really helped with this shirt as he colored the house and glued some balloons.

Another busted chin...

Well I guess Benjamin wanted to be just like his sister with busting the chin open. Last night, he decided to climb the kitchen counter but ended up falling off and busting his chin open. there is a new Children's after hours so I took him there. That place was awesome! They were so great with Benjamin as he thought he was going to have to get a shot since he normally does when he goes to the doctor because he rarely gets sick. He did great and since I had already been through this mommy did great. The best part was that he got a popsicle also!

ZOO!

This past Sunday we had yet another Sunday Fun Day but daddy got to tag along also! It was perfect weather for the zoo so we got there the second it open. We saw all kinds of animals and Charlotte is still talking about what animals she got to see. After being there for three hours we decided to head to Mom's Deli for a lunch outside. What a fun day!

Sunday Fun Day

This past weekend David had a lot of work and school to do so the kids and I had a Sunday Fun Day. It started off with a little bit of jumping at Sky Zone, donuts and chocolate milk to follow, Grandma’s Playroom (which was super cute and Benjamin kept referring to it as Granny’s Park) and then topped it off with a really late lunch with some pizza.

Christmas

This year was special as the kids got to have both sets of grandparents with them on Christmas morning. We had brunch and then played games! It was very special and so thankful that it got to happen.

No more fighting over chairs!
