Radio Flyer

Mimi and Grandpa got Benjamin this sweet radio flyer with a canopy. We took our first ride last night and Benjamin was unsure of it the whole time. He is so darn cute (please excuse his pj's)

 

I know that we are going to get great use out of this and we just wish that Cocoa would sit in ;)

4 STEPS

Benjamin took four steps all on his own on Monday. The first two were good solid steps and the second two were him falling. Few steps and were in the right direction to walking.

Fritz's

We took Benjamin to get ice cream last night and since Spanky's closed Daddy took us to Fritz's. When we lived over there we went all the time and sure do miss it. They gave us a complimentary ice cream cone for Benjamin. It might have been free, but it sure was messy and Benjamin loved it.

 

 

And this is after all the sugar...he was SO hyper, but so funny!

 



Eating like a Big Boy!!

Someone started eating like a big boy!

He likes to hold his own spoon now and feed himself. Every time he does it on his own he laughs and it's the cutest thing. He also holds his own sippy cup now. He doesn't need his mommy to do it for him anymore. Now if only he doesn't need his mommy to wipe his butt ;)

Museum of Transportation

I bought a groupon awhile back for $8.00 for admission for two and a train ride and thought that would be great for Benjamin. What a fun little place so close to home. You get to take a 20 min train ride while they tell you some history of some vehicles on-site, explore through some old trains and boats and they even have a kid area. It was SO much fun and we will for sure be back (when Benjamin is walking).

Swim Class

I enrolled Benjamin in a six week swim class up at the YMCA. I did it because I don't want him to be scared of the water. To our surprise he LOVES the water, but just doesn't like being held that long. We sing songs, swim with our arms and legs, float on our back, blow bubbles and much more.

Birthday Party Fun

Benjamin had the BEST first birthday party and thank you to those who came and helped celebrate his big ONE!! Here are some photos from the big day.

Discoveries

Benjamin just discovered his goods so now I change his diaper as quick as possible. I honestly don't know if I am ready to raise a boy yet, but guess here we go...

My Baby is ONE!!

Where did the last year go...for real? I can't believe that my baby is one already, they really do grow up fast. He had his year check-up today and I think his new nickname should be string bean. He is 32" tall (100 percentile) and weighs 20.2lbs (30 percentile). The doctor said that he is as healthy (but skinny) as a kid can be. He was also impressed on how well his first year was, commented twice on how he has only seen him on check-up appointments. Rikki Neuf did amazing job once again on his photos and here are some to share...

First Cardinal Baseball Game

My boss offered me some great tickets to the Cardinal game this past Sunday so we decided to take Benjamin to his first game. Other then not sitting still, he did great! We took my mom and brother with us and got there in at the top of the 2nd and left at the bottom of the eighth. It was perfect weather and surprise, surprise we saw a loss.
