Talking

All the time! He always ask what everything is. He will point to something and say "dat" however he will ask three or four times. We tell him what it is the first two times and then we describe the color that he is pointing to. He can say ma ma, da da, co co, ga ga (grandma, my mom doesn't want to be called this), mi mi (Pam), baw (ball), tee (tree), ba ba (bye-bye). He really want to talks more and when you talk to him he really studies your mouth moving. Let's just hope that he isn't a motor mouth like his parents.

Benjamin loves animals so we are teaching him what all the animals say. We have a book with over 100 different animals that we teach him with (clearly David and I don't know all of them, ha!) He can tell you what elephants, monkeys, dogs and cows say but he also can point out pigs, ducks and cats.

Eckert's Fun!

Yesterday was so perfect outside that we decided to go to Eckert's to pick some apples and boy was it our lucky day as they were celebrating there 50 years of business and got 50% off apples.

First pony ride!

Feeding the animals at the Petting Zoo

Watching the tractor ride!

Helping daddy pick apples

His first bag of apples!

Eating (trying) apples

Had too much fun...didn't even make it to the highway

Reading

Benjamin loves to be read to especially if the book has animals in it. He will go downstairs, pull a bunch of books off the shelve and bring you a book he wants you to read to him. It is the cutest thing and he actually has favorite ones.
This book Dear Zoo is his favorite one right now.

15 Month Check-Up

Benjamin had his 15 month check-up this week and he is growing the exact same...a string bean. He is 34 inches tall (100%) and yes that is 2 inches shy of 3 feet. He weighs 22.5lbs (40%). The only concern the doctor had was him not getting enough milk. He use to drink it like crazy, but lately all he wants to drink is water(which is not bad). We don't give him juice or anything else so the doctor said to make sure if he is not drinking at least 15oz of a milk a day that he gets it through other things like cheese and yogurt...we shouldn't have a problem since he could eat a whole brick of cheese if he could. Other then that no concerns, just keep doing what were doing :)

Salem

The Martin's own property out there with a house on a small lake. It is a place where I spent a lot of my high school and college days. It is a place that I have many memories and have been talking to David about it for years. It was finally nice to be able to take David there to show him what it was all about. Just like David ALWAYS talks about the 504 house (Benjamin may never see that place!).

We went to Salem over Labor Day weekend and had a blast. The weather didn't cooperate as much as we would have liked it to but we still had fun and got in the lake. Benjamin had more fun in the lake then the pool at my mom's house.

Lucky Ali got to sit in the back with the kids, she is so brave as Benjamin was a little fussy.

On our way home we stopped and had some ice-cream at this little dive, it might have been the best ice-cream ever.

Kennedy loves sharing with Benjamin!

Magic House

On the third Friday of every month Magic House has free family admission in the evening. I thought Benjamin might be old enough now to go and enjoy some of it. He LOVED it, so much that it was hard to leave. Some areas were a bit tight with all the people, but we will for sure be going again since it is free those particular nights. Here are some pictures of our fun
