Peach Picking

Ali had this great idea to go peach picking on Sunday since the weather was perfect and the with all the rain they have been saying that they are perfect to pick. We took a wagon ride to the peach trees and had a blast picking them and eating them, they were so fresh.

When we were done we decided to treat ourselves with ice-cream and it was AMAZING!

Last night I decided to make some peach cobbler since we had picked so many peaches and it didn't turn out that bad, well at least for my first time making one.

4th of July!

What a fun 4th of July we had. In the morning we went to the Blueberry Festival at the Daily Bread. They had a bubble machine, cookie making station, the Magic house was there doing some kid activities, face painting, snow cones, and blueberry pie samples. It was so much and Ali and Kennedy joined us for our fun.

Later in the day we drove down to the Jokerst who had a great BBQ with family which they included us Carlson.

Benjamin didn’t see any fireworks because he was already in bed, but let’s be honest, he wouldn’t like them anyway because he doesn’t like loud noises. Thankfully they didn’t wake him!

Walking

Finally!

Benjamin walked from the stairs to the kitchen through the dinning room yesterday. It was so much fun watching him do this, but sad at the same time since I realized that my baby is growing up. By the time David and I picked our jaws up from the ground it was to late to get the video camera out. Guess David and I are going to be getting our exercise in from chasing him around.

Playland Ball Pit

Uncle Joey got Benjamin this sweet Spider-man Playland Ball Pit and David and I finally busted it out last night. Let's just say that he was sweating because he was running around so much having fun!

What does an elephant say?

brush, brush, brush

We brush Benjamin's teeth (gums) every night and he actually likes it. We say night, night and then before we go into his room we stop in the bathroom and he opens his mouth immediately to brush his teeth. He finally has all his front teeth, yes at thirteen months, so we moved up to the next level tooth brush. Here he is doing it all by himself...

Cocoa was trying to escape so she didn't have to get her teeth brushed also!

Longhorn

After 11 years of serving at Longhorn it is finally time to hang up the apron! My job made an offer that I can't refuse and will no longer need to work there...it is such a blessing! David and I are so grateful for this opportunity especially me as now I will no longer miss any moments in our sons life.

I worked at Longhorn through undergrad school, graduate school, two big girl jobs that I didn't like so quit and went back to Longhorn full time, my wedding, birth of my son, and many more milestones in my life. David has only known me working at Longhorn! I literally can't believe that tomorrow night is my last night there. I am eager to close this chapter of my life and open the next one.

I had a special visitor on Tuesday which was my last serving shift...I think he was flirting with me :)
please excuse how gross I look!

Grammy and Grandpa (Abbie and Ali's parents) also visited, as they normally leave some candy they left some hand lotion instead and Benjamin loved it.

Thanks everyone for the understanding and support while I worked two jobs. Good things do come to those who wait..or work their little butt off ;)

True Green

David and I use TruGreen to fertilize our yard and they will do an aeration in the fall. We first had reservations about it but after we totaled the cost of all the fertilizer we buy thought that we would give it a try for a year. They told us that our yard would not look it's best until next year after the aeration. Well, I am already impressed with it so far and it feels AMAZING. You can be the judge of it (the adorable little baby helps also!)
