Goodbye Hair

I did it! I can't believe that I followed through with it. This was a big step for me as most people say it is just hair, but it was just my hair. I have hidden behind my hair for years and of course it satisfies my obsession of hair twirling, but I just had to do it. I teared up a little bit, but knowing that it would grow back over time I snapped out of it. I know that it is going to such a good cause so I may just do again down the road.

His Throne

Benjamin got a new mini chair for his birthday from his Aunt Abbie and can't get enough of it. He moves it all over the place to sit in it no matter what we are doing. His favorite time in it is when he has snacks, he is just so funny!

4th of July

What a great family 4th of July weekend we had. It started off with a little parade on Thursday at Benjamin's school. They made shirts, hats and shakers and I was so lucky that I had errands to do for my boss that I was in that area so I got to check it out. It was so cute and Benjamin looks like he really enjoyed it. Then that night we went to see the fireworks at Twin Oaks and had ice-cream (from Schnucks because it was too crowed to make it to Fritz's). Then on the 4th we went to the Blueberry Festival in the morning and then Kirkwood fireworks that evening and of course had more ice-cream. Then on Sunday we went to my parents for a BBQ with some s'mores for dessert.

Blueberry Festival

On the 4th of July David and I took Benjamin to the Blueberry Festival at the Daily Bread off Manchester. We went there last year and had a blast and thought that we would try it again. It was even better this year as Benjamin could do things on his own. We got to make pin peels, cool sunglasses, hats and our very own cookie. We were so lucky that the fire trucks stopped by for 15 minutes and got to walk through. I believe that we might make this a new tradition for us.
