Night, Night

Every little boy and girl has a bedtime routine, liking it is another story. Benjamin loves everything up to the point of actually going to bed. He loves to do things on his own so I thought I should get a stool to help him at the sink so he can do everything on his own. We wash our hands and mouth and brush our teeth. I think his favorite part is getting the stool out and putting it away. We ask Benjamin if he is ready for night night and he darts up the stairs and knocks on the hall closet to get the stool out. He is just so darn cute, and clean!

Elmu!

Benjamin loves Elmo so I decided to get him a little Elmo that he could carry around. He was so excited when we gave it to him that he even had to bring him to the dinner table, silly boy!

Really Mom?? Elmu!

Giving Elmu kisses!

Just admiring and smiling!

Banana Ice-Cream

I had some extra bananas that were about to go bad and instead of making banana bread I decided to make some banana ice-cream. I cut up four bananas and placed them in a freezer bag and froze them for the day. Last night i put them in my new NutriBullet with a little bit of some whole milk and it turned out great. Nothing else added, I promise! It made enough for everyone to have a bowl with a little extra which I know David will finish tonight. Very healthy snack!

Please excuse Benjamin as he just got out of the bath!

Haircut

Love when this cute little thing gets a haircut...

Sesame Street Live

This past Saturday David and I decided that Benjamin was old enough to go see Sesame Street Live at the Peabody Opera House, I really went back and forth on this one. The weighing factor was that Benjamin loves Elmo so much, he is always asking us to read his "Elmu" books. When we first got there I was a little nervous as Benjamin didn't want anything to do with anything but as soon as it started he was glued to the stage.
Every time Elmo was on the stage, he would point and yell "Elmu" (luckily it was really noisy in there). I was so thankful that we decided to go as he was so excited up until the second to last song which is when we decided to pack up and leave. I really thought that he was only going to last ten minutes. We liked it so much that if he is still interested in Elmo we will for sure be going again next year.

Eating Habits

Most parents fight with their children on what they eat, in the Carlson family we fight with Benjamin on how he eats. For some reason he never wants to sit in his chair anymore (have no clue how this happened) and always throws his fork/spoon. So we decided to to let him sit in the "big boy chair" and all he wants to do is stand in the chair.

He sure does love bananas

So frustrated about this that David and I decided that if he throws his utensils more than two times he doesn't get them back and has to use his fingers. Problem with that is that he doesn't like his fingers dirty so he would throw the biggest fit (sometimes throwing his food) and not eat. After some patience (don't know were we got it from) he is starting to eat better and I think it is time that he sits in his big boy chair moving forward.

He still has bad nights, but I am thankful that he pretty much eats whatever I put in front of him.

Snowy Days

We sure did get the biggest winter storm I can remember with a total of 10.6 inches. I was afraid of having nothing to do so I went the the craft store and boy oh boy did we have fun!
