Bitter Sweet...

No more pumping!! It is sad and exciting that my pumping days are over, this morning was my last time. I am sad in the aspect that I am no longer providing the best milk for my baby (and of course the bonus calorie burning), however am excited that I officially have my body back and am no longer tied to my pump.

I made it eleven months and have to give myself a pat on the back for doing it this long while working two jobs and raising a baby. We now only have to work around Benjamin’s schedule! There were many times that I wanted to quit, but knew that it was the best for my baby and of course a major cost savings. David and I bought our first can of formula this past weekend and will be supplementing with whole milk too. Next baby, I will for sure be pumping the whole year!

Teeth...

FINALLY!!!

My poor little guy isn't just getting one tooth, nor two, but six. Yes, that's right! It's about time as he is almost 11 months old, he is getting four on top and two on bottom. I feel so sorry for him as he gets so frustrated when eating that I am back to pureeing everything since his gums are so sore. Let's hope that they all come in quickly so he is not in pain for long.

1st Haircut

Benjamin had his first haircut today and was such a good boy (as long as we kept feeding him the yogurt bites and puffs). Here is the before, his hair was SO long

 The first cut!

Dad, where is the next snack?

And here is our handsome little guy after, he looks more like a little man now(please excuse the cracker mess on his face).

Perfect Weather!

This past weekend was absolutely perfect so we took full advantage of being outside and Benjamin loved it. We took him for numerous walks and let him play in the grass. He would pick up leaves and feed them to Cocoa. They sure are two peas in a pod.

Opening Day!

Opening Day should really be a holiday in St. Louis...I'm just saying!

This will be David's 17th opening day in a row and my 7th in a row. What a great streak! David is hoping that when he hits a certain number of opening days in a row that the Cardinals will find out about it and appreciate that and start giving him free opening day tickets since he is a die hard fan. He sure does dream big, or is just that cheap...you can decide but I am going with the cheap route.

Even though Benjamin is not going he is all geared up for the big day and is awaiting for when he can join us to these games. Aunt Becki gave him this Fred Bird which sings, but he really loves that Halloween Mickey Mouse that Aunt Abbie gave him.

Easter Fun!

Benjamin had a great first Easter and thanks to the weather for being so well behaved we got to celebrate it outside. I was off on Friday so we went to Eckert's with my friend Tina and her boys. I didn't know what to expect but had a grand time. Of course Benjamin just sat there and tried to eat the plastic eggs and he even laughed at the Easter Bunny!

Then on Saturday my friend Megan asked if we would like to go to her church Easter and we hopped on the chance. However, Benjamin wasn't liking any of it and was fussy the whole time that we had to leave a little early. Didn't get any great photos, but oh well!

Then on Easter, we went to Great Grandma's house and found four eggs...with cheerios in them!

Then off to Grandma's house for some more egg hunting...

Looking forward to next year when he will be able to walk to the eggs instead of us fetching them for him. It was a good Easter overall!

Sleeping Positions

Benjamin sleeps in the most strange position just like his mother. The other day I went to check in on him and found him sleeping just like me (which my mother sleeps just like this also), with his hand over his face. Any no I don't sleep with my fingers in my mouth :)

His Aunt Abbie gave him that monkey and it never goes far...he is either hugging it, laying on top of it, or it is right next to him. When he put him down for a nap or bed he goes straight for it as his safety net.
