Back to the Elephants!

Charlotte started LECE today and is in the Elephant Room just like her big brother was. This morning Benjamin was giving her a pep talk and it was the cutest thing. He told her that if anyone hits her to tell him and he will put them in time-out. He also told her that he would give her a hug when he sees her on the playground. I really hope he does because she was not handling it well when we dropped her off. I know that it took Benjamin almost 8 months to finally accept that was his new routine so lets hope it doesn't take that long for her. Good luck Charlotte and can't wait to come get you and hear all about your day.

Charlotte is 2!

I can't believe my baby girl turned two yesterday. She is growing up way to fast.

David took the day off to spend it with her since he believes that she shouldn't go to school on her big day. He took her to Grant's Farm and then I had lunch with them. When I got home from work we celebrated by having a pizza party on the patio followed up with presents, cookie cake and a walk with the whole family.

David taught her how to tell you how old she is and she is really proud of it!

Spider-Man even stopped in to wish her a happy birthday!

Birthday Party

We had yet another successful, joint birthday party. It was very low key and laid back. I really wonder how long the kids will let me get away with throwing them a birthday party together.
Made these all by myself!

Such a diva!

Memorial Day

On Memorial Day we took Maw-Maw to see Paw-Paw at Jefferson Barracks. Maw-Maw is such a strong women so to see her so vulnerable is very emotional but really glad that we go to experience it. We all love you so much Maw-Maw and miss Paw-Paw every day.
Favorite photo. It is Benjamin's shadow but looks like Paw-Paw is looking over her!

PAW Patrol

This past weekend we took the kids to see Paw Patrol Live! Race to the Rescue. they were glued and didn't move during the whole performance. When we got home Benjamin ran to his neighborhood friends and was telling them all about it. It really was a great performance!

CMCCC

Charlotte has been going to Christ Memorial Child Care Center for the past year. Today is her last day as she will now be going to LECE in the Elephant Room just like her brother did. I have nothing but positive things to say about this school. I know that Charlotte is a lot to handle with her little diva like attitude, but they never complained and only question how we deal with it. I am looking forward to one drop off and pick up but will miss all her amazing teachers and staff.

Strawberry Picking

David and I have always wanted to go strawberry picking and we finally had the perfect opportunity this past weekend. It was beautiful out outside so we decided to head on over to Eckerts. Benjamin didn’t like it at first until he finally found some good ones to pick. Charlotte just loved eating the strawberries and by the time we left he shirt was red instead of white. We picked so many strawberries that I made three strawberry pies and froze a bunch for some smoothies. Over all a successful fun trip!

Pam Carlson's famous strawberry pie, I made three of these!

Memphis

We did an imported trip to Memphis over the Easter weekend. We checked out The Lookout at the Pyramid, the ducks at the Peabody Hotel, Fire Museum, Mud Island River Park and went to Memphis Redbirds Game. On our way home I found this fun Safari Zoo Park.

Easter 2017

My sister found a brilliant idea on how to dye the eggs without dying ourselves. Brilliant! Also, this year instead of going to WhiteCliff Park to egg hunt we decided to do the egg hunt at Megan’s so everyone brought 10 eggs per child they have. I thought it was a success!

First ER Visit

Charlotte fell at my parent’s house and busted her chin open. She handled it by far better than I did. A couple nurses at the hospital kept asking if I was ok and they said the percentage is really high of parents who pass out during their kids getting stitches. She got five stitches and her doctor said it was in the best spot because it won’t be noticeable after a couple years. She still to this day points out her boo-boo.

Sun + Abbie = Florida

! I got to go visit by BFF in Florida without the kids or David. Let’s just saw that I haven’t been that relaxed in a really long time. I was so fun and laid back. I would love to go again but with kids and David and they would love the beach!

Owen!

Gabe!

Christmas 2016

I believe that this is the 11th year we have been cutting down our own Christmas trees (we may have skipped one year). Here are some pictures of our tree this year!

Charlotte 18 months

36 inches, 99.8% for height. 24lbs 10oz, 75% for weight. She was actually taller than Benjamin was at this age. Her doctor said they double height at 18 months for girls so she is going to be 6 feet tall. I know nothing about being that tall so we will have to talk to Megan about that. The doctor said she will be more like 5’10.

Benjamin 4.5

40lbs and 46 ½ inches long. He is such a green bean!

Boston

I turned 35 and David took me to Boston to celebrate. We knew exactly what it was like being kid free so we dominated Boston. We did everything plus some. We toured the Sam Adams Brewery, toured Fenway Park(so awesome they have a garden in the stadium they use at the concession stands), toured Paul Revere House, saw were Samuel Adams was buried, did a boat tour and of course had beer at the Originals Cheers Pub and the oldest tavern in America. David also took me to this great restaurant on the top floor of this building that had a great view and the best chocolate martini!
