Meet Avery Harper Lyman

Benjamin's godfather had a girl!!! Avery Harper Lyman! She was born at 10:48am, weighing 8lbs 10oz, measuring 21 inches. Family is doing great!!

 

 

Off to Mimi's House We Go...

The first week of May; David, Benjamin and I went to visit Mimi and Grandpa in Columbia, South Carolina. It was such a great vacation that we wish they lived closer so we could see them more often. They rolled out the red carpet for us, as they always do, and it was nice seeing them interact with Benjamin. We had great food, good company, and a lot of relaxation and of course a lot of spoiling the baby! He got a lot of new toys (I thought we were going to need another car to get all our stuff home)!

David took me to Myrtle Beach for two days to celebrate our anniversary which was much needed. We had a great time, but talked about the baby the whole time we were away from him. HA!

Birthday Party!!

I can't believe that my little man is turning one so soon. He doesn't need anything but for your company to help him celebrate but if you wish to get him something he has been updating his wish list with a couple ideas ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/ref=wish_list).

Popsicle

Benjamin is teething badly so why not give him a Popsicle?!

The ice cream truck came by our house house the other day so we thought we would buy Benjamin his first Popsicle, and he loved it. What a perfect treat!

Bitter Sweet...

No more pumping!! It is sad and exciting that my pumping days are over, this morning was my last time. I am sad in the aspect that I am no longer providing the best milk for my baby (and of course the bonus calorie burning), however am excited that I officially have my body back and am no longer tied to my pump.  

I made it eleven months and have to give myself a pat on the back for doing it this long while working two jobs and raising a baby. We now only have to work around Benjamin’s schedule! There were many times that I wanted to quit, but knew that it was the best for my baby and of course a major cost savings. David and I bought our first can of formula this past weekend and will be supplementing with whole milk too. Next baby, I will for sure be pumping the whole year!

 

Teeth...

FINALLY!!!

My poor little guy isn't just getting one tooth, nor two, but six. Yes, that's right! It's about time as he is almost 11 months old, he is getting four on top and two on bottom. I feel so sorry for him as he gets so frustrated when eating that I am back to pureeing everything since his gums are so sore. Let's hope that they all come in quickly so he is not in pain for long.
