Healthy Snacks
Benjamin loves to eat so much that we feed him five times a day, three meals and two snacks. I was trying to think of some healthy snacks that he can have that I can make myself so this is what I came up with. Kale Chips!!
SOOO healthy, cheap, and easy. A huge bundle cost me $1.00 and 30 minutes to make including baking. The recipe called for some olive oil, garlic, and salt (didn't use the salt though). I made one batch with garlic for David and I and one batch without the garlic for Benjamin. They are not bad at all, David said he would even eat them. HA! Now, let's just hope Benjamin likes them.
Next I am going to make some sweet potato chips, avocado fries (of course lightly breaded) and some ice cream bites made from yogurt.
If anyone has any other healthy suggestions that they make for their little ones please share!

9 months!!
Benjamin had his 9 month check-up yesterday and is a perfect little tall boy. He is 30" tall which puts him in the 97% for height. This is literally half the size of my grandma, Grams. Let's just hope he isn't taller than David when he gets older. He weighs 18.1 lbs which puts him in the 23%. Growing just like a weed! The doc gave us the go ahead to feed him whatever we would like except for honey, peanut, and citrus fruits. Also said that we would could start giving him water, but to hold off on juice until after he is one.
He had to get a follow-up shot today and the women really gave it to him, she even made him bleed. Poor guy. He cried for a minute and then was over it.

Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?
Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You? is Benjamin's favorite book for now. This is the only book that he will sit in your lap longer then five seconds while you read.
David and I read to him every night and we are starting to see results. Before when we read to him he would want to play with his toys but now he will try to sit in your lap. He might not sit for long but at least he knows what book time is!!

World Aquarium
I forgot to post this, which we did this two Saturday's ago.
This past weekend David and I took Benjamin to the World Aquarium. I never knew that St. Louis had one, but found a groupon on it and it is located in the City Museum. Our groupon allowed us to have a two hour private tour which got us to see the behind the scene action, feed and pet a lot of the animals. It was a blast and we highly recommended it to all. Here are a bunch of photos.

Snow Day
Today David and I had half days due to the weather. We were really excited to spend the day in with Benjamin. However, he really wanted to go outside and play in the snow. He kept pounding on the door.
We've been practicing on walking and talking. He says ba ba ba real well (that is actually the only thing he says ALL the time). We are trying the ma ma ma and da da da, secretly I have been trying Cocoa also. He has been pushing himself up onto things by himself for a couple weeks now and in the past week he has decided to master crawling up the steps on his own. Today he took a couple steps along the ottoman all on his own. Here are some more pics of our fun snow day.
When do they stop growing up so fast?

Butterfly House
Two weekends ago we made it out to the Butterfly House in Chesterfield with Benjamin's friend Kennedy. We had so much fun on a cold, rainy Sunday morning, however it was 95 degrees inside with the butterflies so if you ever decide to go please dress accordingly. There are over 60 butterfly species and over 150 tropical plants. Here are a couple that I caught with my new camera
Kennedy LOVES Benjamin and all she wanted to do was hold his hand, they are so cute.
They had this beautiful waterfall so we took advantage.
