Halloween Fun

A little late, but that is alright!

We kept it very traditional, but we love tradition especially when it is with good people and fun. It started of with Grant's Farm Spooktacular with my friends. Couple days later we went to the Haupt House and carved our pumpkins ( the Carlson's pumpkin came in second place!). Benjamin's school had a PTO Trunk or Treat (don't think we will go to that again)

On Halloween, Benjamin's school had a parade that David was able to attend and then a little party that we all attended. After that we went to my parents house to have some chili and a little trick-or-treating. It was cold, but fun!

Pumpkin Picking

On Sunday we took Benjamin pumpkin picking at Stuckmeyers. We went on a tractor ride, eat hot dogs and popcorn, picked out pumpkins to carve at Megan's in a couple weeks and Benjamin got to drive a cozy coupe (he loves those things). It was a little cold and sprinkled on us a little bit but that didn't stop us from having fun!

Apple Picking Fun and More

This past Saturday Mimi surprised us and came in town with Ken on a business trip. While the boys were out seeing horrible sporting events, us ladies and Benjamin had a jam packed day. It started off with a little apple picking at Eckerts, putting puzzles together at home with hot apple cider and then we made cute Halloween masks for Benjamin's class. Most importantly, Pam treated us with Dewey's Pizza. We discovered Benjamin loves salad and if you put tomato's in it don't plan on getting any. He kept saying "more saowid pwease"

Apples!

Tractor!

After they put the puzzle together he told Mimi is was time to ride the train!

Benjamin's 2 Year Photos

Such a delay in posting this, but we got Benjamin's 2 year photos back in May and I actually completely forgot about them. He was a wild man during the photos and kept sticking his tongue out in most of them. Here are a couple that I really like and if you want to see more go and check out Rikki's page (www.rikkilaurenphotography.com)

David's CPCU

As most of you know David is studying to get his CPCU which is a series of eight test. As of now he has passed six of them and only has two more to go! I am so proud of him for being so motivated to do this as it is not required, but he does benefit from it. It is very hard on the whole family, but once he completes the designation it will be well worth it!

Cowbell Half Marathon

David and I did another half marathon in early October and I will have to say that I did better then my last time, but I still had to walk a mile as it was a slow incline up and I wanted to save what energy I had for the last two miles. I am proud of myself for doing another half marathon but probably won't be doing one for awhile as it is so hard training for those. I might stick with 5K or 10K for now.

I do love that when Benjamin sees me lacing up my shoes he always announces " Mommy running!"
